The Removal Review Authority is an independent judicial body established under the Immigration Act 1987. It hears appeals on the papers against the requirement for a person who is unlawfully in New Zealand to leave New Zealand.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

In accordance with the Immigration Advisers Licensing Act 2007, from 4 May 2009 appeals to the Removal Review Authority can only be lodged by the appellant themselves, a licensed immigration adviser or a person who is exempt from licensing requirements.
